Be patient and Keep Working Hard on Yourself – It’ll Be Worth It.

My name is Sylvano Solofoniaina, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Montreal, Canada. I started my fitness journey 6 years ago and I’m on Intermittent Fasting since 2016. I decided to change my health because back in the day in 2016, when I woke up every morning I didn’t feel great about myself, unconfident, tired, unhealthy and that’s why I decided to make a change in my life.

My top 3 recommendations for the beginner are:

  • You have to be consistent, everything you do in life takes time! Be patient and keep working hard on yourself it’ll be worth it at the end believe me .

  • Count your calories, that’s really important if you want the results that you desire, if you don’t know how to count calories or you’re too lazy, you can separate your plate in 3 parts , the meaning of this is ½ of your plate its the veggies, ¼ the carbs ( for those who’s on keto, just have to add more veggies) and the other ¼ is your protein! Simple as that if you don’t want to count your calories!

  • Don’t be hard on yourself, We are all humans, it’s alright if you have a bad day on your diet, just get over it and go back on track the next day.

What goals did you achieve since adding fasting into your life?

Before the Intermittent Fasting, I was overweight with 25 % of body fat, so I decided to learn more about the nutrition and the diet to improve my overall health, but back in 2016, I didn’t know at all that I was doing the IF and all the benefits of it! After a certain amount of time, I lost a lot of weight and I felt healthier than ever, with this lifestyle I was able to drop by 17% of body fat and I’ve never been so lean like that.

How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?

For me, it’s pretty easy, because I work during the afternoon, so when I wake up, I go to the gym and then I break my fast around 1 pm and my last meal is around 6:30 pm.

Don’t be too obsessed on your eating window , for example if you want to go out to a restaurant with your friends and they want to eat at noon but normally you break your fast at 2 pm , no big deals guys ,you don’t have to wait 2 hours to break your fast , it’s not gonna ruin your diet if you break your fast an hour or even 2 hours earlier than you normally do , things happen in life, you have to enjoy the moment !!
