This Lifestyle Allows me to Stay Healthy All the Time

Hello my name is Christopher Menser. I got interested in my health probably about one decade ago when I decided I would go to West Virginia University and major in physical education and health education. This was a great way for me to start my fitness journey. Since then I have really enjoyed studying fasting and applying it to my life. I feel like Fasting has helped me so much and I can help make it simple to other people as well.

When it comes to fasting, what are your top 3 recommendations?

My first recommendation would be to start small. You do not need to go out and do very long fasts at the beginning. Slow and steady wins the race. Start with just a 13 or 14 hour fast including the time that you are asleep if that works for you. Then gradually make your fats longer each day or each week.

My second recommendation would be to experiment with other types of fasting such as water fasting, dry fasting, etc.

My third recommendation would be to work out and exercise in a fasted state whenever possible. This allows for accelerated fat loss in a caloric deficit.

What is your favorite healthy food to eat?

Other than the classic steak and potatoes I would also say all kinds of fruits!!

How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?

By enjoying learning about it.

What motivates you to continue with this lifestyle?

Staying healthy and feeling great. My main goal achieved when adding Fasting to my life was keeping a very low percentage of body fat. This allows me to stay healthy all the time and still eat whatever foods I like within reason.

What is your best piece of advice for those just starting to fast?

Take it easy. It’s ok not to be perfect. Not every day has to be your longest fast.
