Be patient. Don't give up. The end Results Will be Rewarding!

I am 52 years old African American woman and I decided to make changes once I turned 50 plus I was 309 unhealthy pounds. My son urged me to watch WHAT THE HEALTH. It was life changing. I went plant based. My son had been vegetarian 6 years prior and he wanted me to do it. We were vegan but eventually added fish and shrimp back into our diet.

I wanted to make changes because I was tired of getting bad news at the doctor. Once the pandemic hit I had lost about 25 pounds but I hit a plateau. I started to research and came across a station on YouTube called AN ALTERNATIVE HEALTH. It was about water fasting. I had never heard of that. After doing the research I decided to do it.

I started with doing 36 hours then 48 then 72 then 5 days. It was a process and took me a long time to be able to do it. I just kept trying. And kept researching . I started eating non inflammatory foods. I never thought I could do it but once I saw the benefits I felt I achieved my goals. My top recommendations is to keep trying and don't give up. Start off small . Keep following fasting pages for encouragement. If you break the fast just keep going and continue from where you left off.

Once I saw the weight lose from fasting and mostly plant based eating . I started walking also and getting 10k steps in 4-5 times a week and I purchased a Peloton bike . I exercise too. I feel better and my mental health is much better too. Covid is taking a toll on all of us.

I am motivated because I feel better mentally and physically. Plus I get encouragement from weight loss pages on Instagram. I love your page. I just started following it. My best piece of advice is to be patient. Don't give up. The end results will be rewarding . I no longer have arthritis in my hands . I went from 309 to 262 so far. I have a long way to go. Once I take a break . I stick with non inflammatory foods like fruits veggies, seafood. I eat rice bread and pasta on occasions only. It's hard and I cheat once in a while but if I gain weight I start fasting again. I make sure I don't gain more than 5 -10 pounds. I closely monitor my weight. My weight loss is not about how I look but how I feel. It's hard to see yourself how you really are. When I look in the mirror I see the same exact person. I can't see the weight loss but my clothes are way looser. I don't mind sharing a picture once I lose more weight. Im still not comfortable with myself and I think it's a little invasive. Please don't share my weight on social media. I don't mind you sharing how many pounds I lost tho. I don't want anyone reaching out to me on social media. Im kinda private. I hope my answers were sufficient. Another helpful thing I learned was turmeric and ginger tea with black pepper and cinnamon and coconut water and stevia is amazing for joint pain which is a symptom of peri menopause.
