The Stronger The Reasons Behind a Habit, The Easier it Can Be To Follow

Tell us a little about yourself and why you decided to make a change to your health? At first, I wanted to impress the girls in my middle school. Most middle schoolers didn’t have muscles(I didn’t either, in hindsight. But I thought I did) and I thought I was hot shit. As the years have passed, though, I’ve found myself pursuing health for a multitude of reasons.

Simply put: I am a better person when I can exercise, use the sauna, meditate, do yoga, and eat well.

What goals did you achieve since adding fasting into your life?

I would say I am now much better at getting after my to-do list. I fast in the mornings, and I like to study, do schoolwork, and use the morning to focus. Fasting very much helps with that focus. I feel more sharp, less tired, and better able to concentrate.


How did you manage to integrate this healthy lifestyle into your life?


It’s been surprisingly easy for me to fast. I think the main reason is because I’m not super strict with it. I’ll fast, like I wrote above, for 13 hours one day, 17 the next, and 10 the day after that.


What motivates you to continue with this lifestyle?

I love the energy I feel. That’s the main reason. I feel good. Zippy. Snappy. On top of it.


What is your best piece of advice for those just starting to fast?

Remain consistent – not too strict – and remember to check in with your body so you can note the benefits that fasting (and any other habit) are providing you.
